The effects of aging populations

Aging populations are often mentioned as a problem in developed countries, but nowadays this issue is also concerned about in developing countries. The aging of population means that the proportion of old people is bigger than before. This phenomenon causes some problems for our society.

So what causes aging populations? First , with the world developing rapidly, the human beings’ living condition is better than before. So more and more people live longer and longer. Second, for example ,our country had being carried out the family planning policy a long time. This is one of the reason for aging populations.

As far as I am concerned, I hold the view that this trend has more negative effects than positive effects.

The aging populations bring about a lot of effects to society, both policy and economy. For example, the pressure of pension will become bigger and bigger. More and more people will get pension, it increase the burden of our government. At the same time, because of the proportion of old people is increasing, people’s retirement age will be delay. and it is difficult for young people to find a job. It increases the rate of employment.

As the problem gets seriously, our government has introduced some policies to solve this problem. For example ,the government in shanghai are urging eligible

couples to have two children .this is the first time in decades that Chinese authorities encouraging couples to conceive. It is a great policy. I think our government will have more good solutions to relieve this problem.
